Our History
Karen lived in Poway, California, during early childhood and spent endless hours with her uncle Charles learning the Gladiola business. Karen's love for flowers continued with the purchase of a local retail florist in 2004.
In 2017 Karen devoted her time passionately and exclusively to Serendipity Floral Events, her event planning and floral design company.
Throughout all her endeavors, she has loved to bring beauty, light, systemization, and purpose to individuals and organizations using her skill set and creativity—every event in life is an opportunity to create with divine beauty.
Extraordinary Things That Happen By Chance
First coined in the 1700s by author Horace Walpole, we decided to name our company "Serendipity" for the beautiful way people often find our team. The word is often used in modern times and means "great things happen by chance" or "coming across unexpected opportunities through luck." With this word, we wanted every client who chooses us to be sure that their dream of having beautiful floral designs for whatever occasion is in good hands.
